80 Years Together
Despite global financial crisis we could not give up the opportunity to celebrate 80 years of Lombardini success as we confidently look towards a strong future, and there is no better way to celebrate such an important event than with those who really are employed in it. Our CEO Giuseppe Bava introduced Open Day 2013 talking about people and their history within the company. The cerimony core were the membership of the prestigious Quarterly Century Club Kohler (QCC), who reached 25 years of collaboration with the company and now has over 8000 employees worldwide. During the event, Tom Cromwell, President-Engines and Jean Schmidt, HR Director, Global Power Group, welcomed all members of Lombardini Senior Group, who contributed to company success. Over than 1,500 visitors were attending the event, during which a series of awards were assigned and an exhibition show was set up to show many current applications featuring Lombardini & Kohler engines. A full and informative day was carefully planned for our guests, with particular emphasis placed on the historical changes throughout the evolution of company’s products ranging from some of the old 1950″ era tractors to the latest technologically advanced KDI engine powered machines. The Viano band accompanied the event during the event which culminated with the superb skills of Engineer Luigi Aldini, who painted the ‘80 logo in the sky while driving his plane FALCO.
